Top 5 Health & Medical Domain Sales

The term “health” refers to a complete emotional and physical condition of well-being. The purpose of healthcare is to assist people in maintaining their best health.

In this article, we’ve compiled a list of the Top 5 Health & Medical Domains that can inspire you to build your own.

HealthInsurance.com – $8.13 million

George Kirikos, a domain investor and careful researcher, has a track record of unearthing massive domain sales. He has previously acknowledged sales, including the $2.1 million sale of Vivo.com. These sales, which would not have been publicized publicly otherwise, demonstrate the power and worth of premium domain names in the real world.

George discovered another transaction this week: HealthInsurance.com was sold for $8,133,000 in a deal that closed in 2019. George discovered facts of the deal after looking through an SEC filing. Based on George’s own investigation, the domain name was almost certainly HealthInsurance.com, despite the fact that it wasn’t specifically acknowledged.

George provides his findings for the domain community to review in this conversation. If DNJournal’s calculations are correct, this sale will be the second largest of 2019, behind the $30 million sale of Voice.com.

Medicare.com – $4.8 million

The domain name Medicare.com was purchased for $4.8 million by eHealthInsurance Services, Inc.

The company paid $4.5 million in cash for the domain and forgave $0.3 million in debts from the seller, according to the company’s investor conference call yesterday. The vendor was presumably an established business partner with eHealth.

Although the whois record for Medicare.com has employed whois secrecy for a long time, the most recent public record shows the seller was Tennessee corporation Medx Publishing Inc. This is the same firm that just bought the domain name Medicaid.com after the US government let it lapse.

Because Medicare.com was a newly launched website, the firm received more than just a domain name. Lead generation and Google Adsense were used to monetize the site. It was essentially an affiliate marketing website.

Purchasing the domain name will provide eHealth with some SEO benefits. eHealth, on the other hand, has referred to the sale as a domain name acquisition in all of its statements and interactions. Keep in mind that Medicare.gov is the official website of the United States government. We’ve all seen what happens when a popular.gov website gets a.com domain name.

I believe eHealth would have purchased the domain name even if the site didn’t exist, thus I’m confident in calling this the most expensive public domain name transaction of 2014.

RX.com – $1,000,000

Remember when domain speculators would pay $1 million for a two-letter domain? That was only a few sentences ago. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. RX.com was bought for $1 million by Brent Oxley, a Texas businessman who invests in domain names. RX is a frequent abbreviation for ‘prescription,’ and it could prove to be a wise purchase.

Brent’s domain names are available for purchase at Oxley.com. Broker.com, Uno.com, Create.com, and Message.com are just a few of his fantastic domains.

Nursing.com – $950,000

The domain name Nursing.com made waves in June 2019 after the respected DNJournal placed it for sale for $950,000. For months, the name remained inactive, holding a simple “coming soon” page that gave away no specifics of the company behind the moniker.

By December 2019, it was evident that NRSNG had made the historic decision to change its domain name from NRSNG.com to Nursing.com. To its client base of over 250,000 nurses and nursing students, the company created a film announcing the name change.

Medidata.com – $600,000

Medidata Solutions Inc., a supplier of cloud-based solutions for clinical research in the life sciences, purchased the Medidata.com domain name for USD $600,000 in the first quarter of 2019, according to a recent SEC filing. The domain name used to redirect to Medidata.ch, a Swiss corporation, according to Archive.org.
